These bulbs are NOT instant on instant bright. They will take a few extra seconds to come to full brightness. These ENERGY STAR Qualified "green light" fluorescent light bulbs consume just 14 watts of energy and produce the equivalent light output of a 60 watt incandescent bulb (800 lumens).
