200 Watt Fluorescent 347 Volt

 

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star Program, lighting consumes 25 to 40 percent of the energy used in commercial buildings. Lighting within buildings accounts for 23 percent of national electrical consumption. This has increased the demand for more energy-efficient lighting selections. The MaxLite HighMax family of fluorescent retrofit light bulbs offer great energy savings for exhibition halls, gyms, churches, synagogues, schools and warehouses. All around the country, energy savings are being realized by replacing old, high wattage incandescent lamps and/or retrofitting existing HID lighting in high bays, recessed downlighting and other mid to high wattage commercial light fixtures with energy efficient, high watt CFL light bulbs.  Using a Scotopic Lumens formula, a 5000K HighMax can produce a brighter, cleaner, more restful and more accurate light than an HID with higher initial lumens. In more and more job site tests, the clear light of the HighMax with its advantage of instant start, and low maintenance and running costs was chosen over the existing lighting.

 

The 347 Volt, MaxLite HighMax SKO200EA350 (11296), is an excellent fluorescent retrofit option when installed with the inner reflector. This 200 Watt compact fluorescent bulb generates 23,520 scotopic lumens - the equivalent of a 400 watt metal halide bulb. The physical dimensions of this 200 watt cfl is 5.0 inches wide and 14.5 inches tall (from the tip of the bulb to the bottom of the base). These fluorescent energy saving CFL bulbs have a color temperature of 5000K and a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 84.

 

To increase the lumen maintenance and increase the Rated Average Life (10,000 hours) of the lamps, MaxLite has integrated a variety of heat combative techniques. These include a very efficient heat barrier disk between the source of the heat (the cathodes and lamps) and the electronic components as well as using higher temperature tolerant components. This MaxLite HighMax bulb incorporates a high power factor, electronic ballast for instant-on, flicker free operation. This CFL lamp has an E39 mogul base. These fluorescent retrofit light bulbs carry 1 year limited warranty. Note: Do not use with dimmers, timers, photocontrols or other special switching devices. Not suitable for outdoor use. The reliable operating temperature is 0 - 100 degrees fahrenheit.

 

HIGHMAX TECHNICAL UPDATE (June 2011)

MaxLite, in its policy of continuous improvement, has recently evaluated its 200 Watt HighMax and after conducting thermal improvement evaluations can no longer recommend its use with a conical lower lens enclosed High Bay fixture. Maxlite can recommend the use of a conical lower lens when used with a 150 Watt HighMax, or a 150 Watt HighMax along with our reflector as an alternate, for various applications. New installations incorporating both a conical lens enclosed High Bay fixture and the 200 Watt HighMax will not be covered under the Maxlite warranty.  Any MaxLite High Bay fixture previously bought and installed with a MaxLite 200 Watt HighMax will still be subject to terms of our current warranty.
