 According to the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Energy Star Program, lighting consumes 25 to 40 percent of the energy used in commercial buildings. This has increased the demand for more energy-efficient lighting selections. Lighting within buildings accounts for 23 percent of national electrical consumption. To increase the lumen maintenance and increase the Rated Average Life (10,000 hours) of the lamps, MaxLite has integrated a variety of heat combative techniques. MaxLite HighMax SKQ60EAWW, 60 Watt compact fluorescent bulb generates 4,200 lumens - the equivalent of a 300 incandescent bulb. The physical dimensions of this 60 watt cfl is 3.5 inches wide and 9.5 inches tall (from the tip of the bulb to the bottom of the base). This MaxLite HighMax bulb incorporates a high power factor, electronic ballast for instant-on, flicker free operation.

 and a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 84. The warm yellowish glow of an incandescent light that you are used to is about 2700-3000 degrees Kelvin (K) and has a CRI of 100. If you like that warmer color of light purchase CFL’s around 2700K. This CFL lamp has an E26 medium base.
