The American Dryer American DR20NSS is constructed with a one piece, heavy duty, 16 gauge steel cover finished in a Brushed Stainless Steel. Two tamper resistant screws secure the cover to a steel base. The air intake vents are shielded for additional safety.  Both the Nozzle and the Push Button are chrome plated zinc die castings.  A 360 degree revolving nozzle is standard.  The DR20NSS push button model uses a heavy duty cam-operated timer with oversized electrical contacts for extended life.  This hand and hair dryer turns on with a light touch and turns off automatically.

The heating element on the American DR20NSS is constructed of NiChrome resistance wire with an automatic resetting thermostat. This side mounted heating element operates in the black range for maximum life.  The motor is a 1/10 horse power, 3,200 RPM, permanently lubricated, maintenance-free, brushless induction motor with an automatic resetting thermal protector.  It operates on 110/120 volt, 60 Hertz circuits and draws 20 amps and 2300 Watts.  The DR20NSS has an Air Flow of 160 CFM and generates an Air Velocity of 5500 Linear Feet per Minute at an Air Temperature of 130-145 degrees Fahrenheit (F) at 72 degrees F Ambient.  The Drying Cycle time for the DR20NSS is 30 seconds.  (Click here to view the American Dryer DR and A Series Specification Sheet).
