 The American Dryer DR Series push button hand & hair dryers offer exceptional construction, durability and performance. The DR series, our Best Selling Series, comes standard with a 10-year limited warranty and is designed to provide many years of trouble free service. With a Sound Level of just 71 dB, the American DR Series boasts the Quietest sound level in its Class.
The American Dryer American DR20TNSS is constructed with a one piece, heavy duty, 16 gauge steel cover finished in a Brushed Stainless Steel. Two tamper resistant screws secure
 the cover to a steel base. The air intake vents are shielded for additional safety. A 360 degree revolving nozzle is standard. The DR20TNSS automatic sensor is a 100% solid state design which eliminates relay contact failures. A microprocessor controlled infrared sensor turns the dryer on when hands are under the air outlet. The hand dryer turns off when hands are removed. There is also a built-in override that turns the dryer off in 80 seconds if the users hands are not removed.
The heating element on the American DR20TNSS is constructed of NiChrome resistance wire with an automatic resetting thermostat. This side mounted heating element operates in the black range for maximum life. The motor is a 1/10 horse power, 3,200 RPM, permanently lubricated, maintenance-free, brushless induction motor with an automatic resetting thermal protector. It operates on 110/120 volt, 60 Hertz circuits and draws 20 amps. The DR20TNSS has an Air Flow of 160 CFM and generates an Air Velocity of 5500 Linear Feet per Minute at an Air Temperature of 130-145 degrees Fahrenheit (F) at 72 degrees F Ambient. General Dryer Information
Bathroom air hand dryers should be placed at least 2 feet apart and at least 12” from the washbasin. Do not install the hand dryer over the washbasin. Automatic hand dryers should be at least 18” above any projection which may interfere with the operation of the automatic sensor. Hand dryers require a dedicated circuit (max. 20 amp) and must be properly grounded. One side of the dryer should be mounted to a stud. All surface mount dryers are provided with conduit entrances for both between wall and surface wiring. In an average traffic washroom it is suggested that you install 1 dryer per 2 washbasins, in a heavy traffic washroom install 1 dryer per washbasin and if your facility has a 54” wash fountain install 4 dryers per sink.
