This series of Keystone LED T8 tube lights have a frosted, plastic lens and an aluminum backing. There is no risk of broken glass making them ideal for food service, residential and school applications. The lumen output of an LED T8 tube is different than that of the more familiar fluorescent T8 lamp. Fluorescent lamps deliver lumens in a 360° pattern, where many of the lumens are wasted because they are directed upwards. With LED T8 tube lights, the delivered light is more directional, so fewer lumens are required to achieve similar or greater levels of usable light output.

The aluminum backing provides excellent heat dissipation while offering structural rigidity to prevent bowing. Keystones Direct Drive LED tubes eliminate the need for an external driver or ballast. For new construction installations, simply connect the 120-277V line voltage directly to the sockets. Please Note, for retrofit installations, bypass the existing ballast by cutting the wires and instead connect the 120-277V line voltage directly to the sockets. No ballast or driver is required. Making your retrofit project even easier, Keystone offers a four (4) socket, non-shunted wiring harness - complete with the quick disconnect connectors. SPECIAL NOTE: These Fluorescent to LED Retrofit tubes require NON-SHUNTED medium bi-pin G13 sockets. It is always prudent to replace the 'tombstone' sockets any time you retrofit a light fixture. For the Keystone Technologies LED T8 tubes be sure to replace your tombstone sockets with NON-SHUNTED sockets. 

Here is the Keystone Technologies, 120 degree beam angle, frosted lens, T8 standard G13 Medium Bi-Pin retrofit LED tube lights. Available in 4000K or 5000K, part number KT-LED18T8-48P-8(XX)-D/G2 has a Power Factor >0.9 and consumes just 18 watts of 120 to 277 volt 60 Hz energy. Suitable for use in dry or damp locations, these LED T8 replacement tubes, which utilize 144 LEDs, are non-dimmable, will produce 1,900-2,000 Lumens of light output (that's an awesome 106-111 Lumens Per Watt), has a CRI >80 and a rated life of up to 50,000 hours based on L70. The physical dimensions of the Keystone LED retrofit are 47.15 inches long by 1.25 inches wide. Each KT-LED18T8-48P-8(XX)-D/G2 LED T8 retrofit bulb has an internal driver and is wired live on one end only. These LED retrofit bulbs carry a 5 Year Limited Warranty.
