 The mercury content of Philips F32T8/TL850 ALTO (27229) fluorescent lamps has been reduced by over 50% versus their original Alto T8 fluorescent lamp designs. With only 1.7mg of mercury in ALTO II™ Technology, Philips has reduced the impact on the environment without sacrificing performance.
Additionally, Alto bulbs use an exclusive material design that helps to
 prevent the small amount of mercury in the lamp from forming mercury compounds which may leach into groundwater after lamp disposal.
This Philips F32T8/TL850 ALTO, 32 watt T8 fluorescent bulb has a color temperature of 5000K giving these lamps a color description of Natural
 Sunshine and a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 82. These eco friendly fluorescent bulbs are rated for 30,000 hours when operated for a minimum of 12 hours per start, produce 2,850 initial lumens and carry a 1 year limited warranty. This product is Proudly Made in the USA.
Every Philips Alto fluorescent bulb passes the EPA Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) test. This TCLP test characterizes fluorescent lamp waste as either hazardous or non-hazardous for the purpose of disposal.
