The mercury content of Philips F32T8/TL850 ALTO (28156) fluorescent lamps has been reduced by over 50% versus their original Alto T8 fluorescent lamp designs. With only 1.7mg of mercury in ALTO II™ Technology, Philips has reduced the impact on the environment without sacrificing performance.
Additionally, Alto bulbs use an exclusive material design that helps to prevent the small amount of mercury in the lamp from forming mercury compounds which may leach into groundwater after lamp disposal.
