 The mercury content of Philips Alto fluorescent lamps has been reduced by over 50% versus their original Alto T8 fluorescent lamp designs. With only 1.7mg of mercury in ALTO II™ Technology, Philips has reduced the impact on the environment without sacrificing performance.
Additionally, Alto bulbs use an exclusive material design that helps to
 prevent the small amount of mercury in the lamp from forming mercury compounds which may leach into groundwater after lamp disposal.
This Philips FB32T8/TL850/6/ALTO, 32 watt T8 6" U-Bend fluorescent bulb has a color temperature of 5000K giving these lamps a color description of Natural Sunshine and a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 84. These eco friendly fluorescent bulbs are rated for 24,000 hours and carry a 2 year limited warranty.
Every Philips Alto fluorescent bulb passes the EPA Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) test. This TCLP test characterizes fluorescent lamp waste as either hazardous or non-hazardous for the purpose of disposal.
