Typically used to replace 2'x4' fluorescent lay-in troffers, the MaxLite MLFP2X435 is a high performance UL and cUL Listed Light Emitting Diode (LED) recessed flat panel that is designed for installation in grid style drop ceilings. The profile is slim, only 3.00" inches deep, including the junction box, so the fixture is ideal for low depth ceiling cavities - whether in an office or school. Rated for Indoor Use, the Maxlite LED recessed light panels are fully dimmable and are compatible with building controls, motion sensors, timers and daylight harvesting systems. The housing and the back panel are aluminum to provide maximum heat sink and thermo control capabilities and each panel weighs in at just 34 pounds each. These LED ceiling panels consume just 93 watts (typical) of 120-277 volt 50/60 Hz energy and the driver has a power factor of 90% at maximum load. They generate 6,000 lumens (Illumination at one meter is 1500 Lux typical and 1700 Lux maximum), have a rated lumen maintenance of 50,000 hours based on 30% lumen depreciation, a color temperature of 3500K and a CRI of 70. The trim is electro plated white for a high end finish. In keeping with the quality of the rest of the materials, the lens is a translucent white polycarbonate that produces an even, consistent shadowless light.
These LED drop-in panels are fully dimmable from 4 types of input signal (0-10V, IR Dimming, Simple Dimming or DMX512). Each panel has a Master/Slave switch on the back. During installation, one fixture in the room should be switched to Master and the others in the room should be switched to Slave. With a specialized 10 foot RJ25 communications cable (supplied free of charge) each fixture is joined to the next (for information and specifications on either linking more than 10 panels, or on Green Building DMX controls, please contact Maxlite Technical Support). When all of the units are joined, one remote control aimed at the Master unit will control all of the other units in the room, up to a maximum of 10 units. With one click, all the other units can be turned on, dimmed and turned off. The Master unit controls the whole room.
Multiple Master panels can also be controlled from a single source. The Master panels can be linked by Green Building DMX512 lines back to a master controller located somewhere in the office suite or building. From the controller, all of the Masters can be turned on, dimmed or turned off. All of the Slave units of each Master unit will also turn on, dim or turn off.
