This Maxlite ML2L141RR6NI50 (71179) 5000 Kelvin (K) warm white LED light operates on your existing 120V circuit and consumes just 14 watts. These LED retrofit lights generate 785 delivered lumens (or 56 Lumens Per Watt) and has a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 80. The Maxlite ML2L141RR6NI50 6" LED retrofit bulb is fully dimmable and suitable for damp locations. These LED retrofit bulbs carry a 5 year limited warranty.
 Instant on at full brightness and mercury free - environmentally positive - generates no IR or UV - protects valuable objects - these 6" recessed can retrofit LED fixtures are rated for 35,000 hours (base on L70 standards). The stated 35,000 Hour life is based on functional light quality. After 30% lumen depreciation MaxLite considers the functionality of the lamp to be ended. That is end-of life. Even though the lamp is still at 70% of initial lumens (the L70 standard). The dimensions of the LED fixture are 7.283" wide by 4.94 inches MOL. The LED driver is self contained and meets UL 1310, UL48 Class 2 standards. The finish on the Maxlite ML2L141RR6NI50 is Brushed Nickel.
The body of each fixture incorporates a proprietary heat sink that is fabricated from aluminum. The aluminum acts as a heat–sink providing thermo heat conductivity. This keeps the LED junction temperature well below the manufacturer’s specification. The lamps stay cool and the lumens are maintained for longer life. These 120 volt LED light bulbs fit most 6" recessed can fixtures with an E26 medium base (click on the specification link above for a list of compatible recessed cans). There is an adapter with every retrofit can where one end has a standard E26 medium base socket and the other end has a disconnect connector. With the electricity turned off at your circuit breaker, simply screw the E26 socket into your existing recessed can. Then connect the Maxlite LED fixture at the disconnect point. Install the LED fixture like you would install your current trim. You have now converted your recessed can to LED.
