 Dimming saves energy while setting the right light level to improve mood and ambiance. Screw-in compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) and screw-in light emitting diode bulbs (LEDs) are a great energy-saving alternative to incandescent or halogen light sources; however, dimming them may be difficult. Lutrons new CL Dimmers for dimmable CFL and LED bulbs have HED Technology which helps alleviate your CFL and LED dimming challenges. Compared to standard dimmers, Lutrons new CL Dimmers keep the lights on as they are dimmed, make sure the lights turn on at all light levels, eliminate or reduce excessive flicker and keep the lights on even with line voltage fluctuations. The Lutron Diva CL dimmer (sometimes called out as a rheostat or spelled dimers) light switches have a positive on/off position for ease of operation. Lutron dimmers also offer a smooth, even dimming range from barely 'on' to full brightness. You will appreciate the quality features of true full-range dimming in a broad selection of dimmer switch styles that meet most specifications. This particular light dimmer switch is the Lutron Diva CL DVCL-153P-LA, a Light Almond colored decorator, also called out as decora, style dimmer for use with dimmable CFL and dimmable LED bulbs. Easily turn the lights on and off with the large paddle switch and use the slim slide control to adjust lights to your desired level. This dimmer and switch combination allows you to set the slide control to your preferred light level and provides a visual indication of that preset level every time you enter the room.
Because performance is varied from bulb to bulb and manufacturer to manufacturer, Lutron has integrated an adjustable 'low-end trim' that allows the dimmer to accommodate a broad range of dimmable bulbs. Lutron's CL dimmers feature an easy to utilize adjustment dial located near the bottom left side of each dimmer switch. The color of the device is Light Almond and will easily replace any style switch. This dimmer and switch device works with existing single or multi-gang decorator wallplates (NOTE: A wall plate is NOT included with the dimmer and must be purchased seperately). The Lutron Diva DVCL-153P-LA operates on 120V AC power, has a maximum allowable incandescent/halogen wattage of 600 watts and is capable of operating as either a single pole or 3 way dimmer.
