Easy to incorporate into new or existing sign lighting or product displays, the MaxLite LED Cooler Door and Freezer tube lights feature a low mounting height and smooth construction that presents a clean, unobtrusive appearance in cases where space is limited. MaxLite Cooler and Freezer Lamps are offered in three lengths - 48, 60 and 72 inches - with corresponding energy consumption of 16.8, 22.1 and 25.7 watts. Engineered to operate on 120 volt circuits only, the LED cooler and freezer lamps combine with an internal constant voltage driver to provide an exceptionally long life of 50,000 hours at L70 standards. The internal driver is a 120V constant voltage driver that is non-dimming. Unlike fluorescent freezer bulbs, the LED lamps are unaffected by frequent switching, and can be configured for use with on/off switches and occupancy sensors.
This item is the MaxLite RL-7226U-40 (107992), the factory replacement for either the 72RL41 (75442) or 72RL3041 (96926), LED 6 foot cooler retrofit light consumes just 25.7 watts but delivers 2,170 lumens of 4000K light. It is rated for 50,000 hours (at L70 standards) and has a 5-year warranty. The physical dimensions of the MaxLite 4000K LED cooler door tubes are 70.12 long by 1.15 wide by 0.95" high. Each RL-7226U-40 LED cooler and freezer retrofit bulb weighs in at 1.37 pound. The lens is a transparent polycarbonate. Molded in Polycarbonate Polymer mounting tabs means no loose pieces and non-conductive contact. Each 6' cooler tube light comes with the factory installed 8" lead wire with a 2-pin male terminal and one (1) 6 foot 2-prong AC power cord with a 2-pin female terminal. By adding the optional Y-Extension cable, which has one (1) 2-pin male terminal at one end and two (2) 2-pin female terminals at the other, you can daisy chain multiple tubes together (refer to the image below). Each Y-Extension is sold separately.
The RL-7226U-40, 25.7 watt LED cooler lamp has been designed to replace existing linear fluorescent T8/T12 installations, thereby reducing maintenance and energy expenditures in residential, commercial, retail displays, hotel, motel and resort applications and as an energy saving light source for new fixtures and installations. These LED bulbs are rated for use in either dry or damp locations, has an operating temperature range of -4 degrees Fahrenheit to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Please NOTE: When retrofitting these LED tube lights into an old fluorescent application, the ballast must be by-passed or removed from the circuit. Additionally, by-passing the ballast will insure no RFI interference.
System Notes: Lamp Spacing / Photometry: Most refrigerating lighting is installed inside the case or cooler. Distances between lamps and product, and door sizes can affect lighting distribution and evenness. Please consider these factors when selecting a system.
