BallaStar® Energy Management ballasts are Universals high efficiency program rapid start ballasts with Step Dimming in two preset options, switching either 100/50% or 100/60/30% power range. This light-level switching is controlled by two standard wall switches or relays and maintains full even illumination in the fixture while dimming, meaning no dark spots or shadows. Meeting energy code switching requirements for high efficiency program start T5 ballasts, including ASHRAE 90.1 and California Title 24, the universal input voltage BallaStar program rapid start ballasts are also fully compatible with occupancy sensors for even further energy savings.

This item is the Universal BallaStar PRS ballast B228PU115S50D. It operates either (2) F28T5, (2) F35T5, (2) F21T5 or (2) F14T5 lamps. This T5 ballast has predefined control levels of 50% and 100% of the rated input power. Featuring active power correction, series lamp operation and a line voltage range from 120 to 277 volt, 50/60Hz for installation flexibility. The Universal BallaStar B228PU115S50D with high Ballast Factor, is CUL, UL Listed (Class P, Type 1 Outdoor) and contains no PCB's. The minimum starting temperature is 50 Degrees Fahrenheit, is sound rated A and has a maximum remote mounting length of 8 feet.
