Designed for mounting heights of up to 45 feet, the CMRB 6 High Bay 360° occupancy sensor provides Passive Infrared (PIR) detection over a 15-20 feet radial coverage pattern. This coverage overlaps the areas that are typically lit by a high bay fixture. This is a line voltage sensor that switches loads directly without the need for a power pack. The CMRB 6 sensor mounts directly to the end of a lighting fixture through an extended 1/2 inch socket, and is ideal for individual on/off control of T5/T8 fluorescent or LED lighting. The CMRB 6 480 sensor is best used in sensor per fixture applications. For multiple fixture control, use low voltage sensors, such as the CMB 6 and/or HMB 10 and power packs. This is item number CMRB 6 480, a high bay fixture mount 360° coverage pattern occupancy sensor that enables direct switching of 480 VAC lighting loads. This sensor is push-button programmable with adjustable time delays and a convenient test mode. This model is the best choice for large motion detection (ex. walking) and extra large motion (ex. forklifts) as it has a 360° conical shaped pattern. For mounting heights between 15 and 45 feet, this occupancy sensor will fit your application perfectly. The 15 to 20 feet of radial coverage overlaps area lit by a typical high bay fixture. Detection range does improve when walking across beams compared to into beams. This sensor has been tested to the NEMA WD 7-2011 standards. Time delays can be as little as 30 seconds and as large as 20 minutes. This motion detector sensor does come with a green LED indicator and a 100 hour lamp burn-in timer mode. This sensor does NOT require a power pack as it has a self-contained relay and runs off of 480V. It is compatible with electronic and magnetic ballasts, CFLs, LED and Incandescents.
For installation purposes, this sensor mounts directly to your fixture. This sensor features interchangeable hot and load wires, so it is impossible to wire backwards. No field calibration or sensitivity adjustments required. See specification sheet for the wiring diagram and wiring instructions.
