Satco CFL BulbsThese UL Listed 40 watt CFL E26 medium base decorative replacement compact fluorescent light bulbs has a color temperature of 5000K and a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 82. As a reference point, the warm yellowish glow of an incandescent light that you are used to is about 2700-3000 degrees Kelvin (K) and has a CRI of 100.

This spiral cfl (also called a twisty bulb, curly bulb or spring bulb) fits all fixtures with the standard E26 medium base socket.  They are 2.64 inches wide and 7.28 inches MOL. They incorporate an electronic ballast for Instant On, flicker free operation. These compact fluorescent bulbs are eco friendly lighting products that consume just 40 watts of energy and produce the close equivalent light output of a 150 watt incandescent medium base bulb (2600 lumens).
 
These decorative cfl bulbs are rated for 10,000 hours and carry a 1 year limited warranty.  The minimum starting temperature is 0 degreees farenheit and the maximum operating temperature is 100 degrees farenheit. These bulbs are NOT for use in totally enclosed fixtures or on circuits with dimmers, timers or other control devices.
