Maxlite is adding JA8 Certified LED Light Bulbs to their already expansive catalog of LED products. While every industry thrives on new and forward thinking technology, Maxlite really goes above and beyond to give you quality products at a fair price. So, why JA8 certification? Since 1978, most buildings within California are required to meet minimum energy efficiency standards contained in Title 2, Part 6 of the California Code of Regulations. This legislative helps to reduce California's energy consumption. These standards are updated periodically. Joint Appendix JA8 is a high efficacy qualification requirement for residential luminaires using an LED light source, based on the LEDs efficacy, or lumens per watt. Not only will these JA8 compliant LED bulbs meet your state codes, but they will also give you exceptional lighting in a low wattage application.
