Compact fluorescent lamps are small enough to replace incandescent lamps in diffuse source applications and therefore bring the increased efficiency of fluorescent technology to a much larger variety of fixtures. These Sylvania lamps feature a narrow tube (1/2 to 5/8 inches in diameter) that is doubled back on itself and terminated in a plastic base. Sylvania DULUX D/E lamps are available in a variety of sizes, wattages and color temperatures for use with external magnetic or electronic ballasts.
The 18 Watt Quad (or Dual or Double) Tube Compact Fluorescent Lamp with 4 Pin G24q-2 Base from Sylvania, model Dulux D/E Ecologic CF18DD/E/8XX/ECO, offers a variety of features including 3500K, and 4100K color temperatures, 82 Color Rendering Index (CRI), 1,150 initial lumens, and a rated average life of 20,000 hours. The lamps are dimmable and when paired with electronic dimming ballasts will maximize energy savings. Moreover, these DULUX D/E ECOLOGIC lamps are designed to meet the Federal Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) criteria and are RoHS compliant, making them non-hazardous waste in most states.
