The Rely Model 5300 is a battery operated combination alarm that detects both smoke and carbon monoxide (CO). It is designed for single and multifamily residential use, as well as hospitality, and institutional applications as defined by NFPA 101. The 5300 complies with UL 217 9th Edition, and NFPA 72/720 requirements.
The Rely 5300 combination alarm has a ten year service life and is powered by two replaceable AA batteries. The alarm utilizes a photoelectric sensor for detecting smoke and an electrochemical sensor to detect CO, and has a hush feature to silence nuisance alarms.
To alert occupants of a fire threat, the alarm features an 85dB sounder that provides temporal 3 (smoke) and temporal 4 (CO) alarm signals with a corresponding red led flash. In addition to the required temporal 3 and temporal 4 alarm signals, the alarm provides voice notification during a smoke and/or CO alarm. Additional voice messages are provided for alarm testing, retrieving peak CO levels, alarm hush mode, low battery, and end-of-life notification.
