Emergency light fixtures automatically switch on when power goes out to illuminate pathways toward egress exits. The T8EM-48FR17-(XX)BYP-LED-2PK Halco ProLED Emergency Type B T8 2 Pack, available in your choice of 4000K cool white or 5000K daylight color temperature, consumes just 17 watts of 120-277 volt energy to produce 2,100 lumens of light output. The T8 tube contains a built-in back up lithium battery that draws power and lasts more than 90 minutes during a power outage. When the battery is charging it illuminates red and when it is fully charged it is green. The slide siwtch must be put in the 'on' position for the lamp to function. These tube lights require non-shunted tombstones and are ballast bypass.
