Options for LED recessed lighting fixtures, whether installing canless wafer light kits or retrofitting your current can lights, have grown rapidly. Canless wafer LED light kits can be used for remodel or new construction LED recessed ceiling downlight projects. LED retrofit downlights are installed utilizing your existing recessed can housing.

The TCP 5"/6" Recessed Downlight Retrofits are a superb, energy saving option for your existing 65BR30 bulbs. This TCP LED Recessed Downlight Retrofit, available in 4100K or 5000K LED light, operates on your existing 120V circuit and consumes just 12 watts. These LED retrofit lights generate 670 delivered lumens (55 Lumens Per Watt) and has a Color Rendering Index (CRI) of 82. The TCP 5"/6" LED retrofit light kit is fully dimmable and suitable for damp locations and they carry a 5 year limited warranty.

These 120 volt LED light bulbs fit most 5" or 6" recessed can fixtures with an E26 medium base. There is an adapter with every retrofit can where one end has a standard E26 medium base socket and the other end has a disconnect connector. With the electricity turned off at your circuit breaker, simply screw the E26 socket into your existing recessed can. Then connect the TCP LED retrofit at the disconnect point. Install the LED fixture like you would install your current trim.
