Options for LED recessed lighting fixtures, whether installing canless wafer light kits or retrofitting your current can lights, have grown rapidly. Canless wafer LED light kits can be used for remodel or new construction LED recessed ceiling downlight projects. LED retrofit downlights are installed utilizing your existing recessed can housing.

The Lotus LED Lights LY82RCD/41K/WH is a slim, low profile, 33 watt, 8" x 2" thin, round, LED recessed down light with a white trim. The recessed ceiling downlight is Air-Tight and is rated for Damp locations (NOT suitable for steam showers, saunas and outdoor locations where directly exposed to rain). This 8 inch LED retrofit has a beam angle of 100 degrees, generates 2400 lumens of 4100K light and is designed to replace up to 200 watt halogen lights in recessed downlight applications. They operate on 120V, 60Hz input voltage (a 277v version is also available) and are dimmable down to about 20% when using approved dimmer switches.

Every Lotus LED fixture is constructed with integral Epistar LEDs and the 120 volt, 60Hz, isolated, external, magnetic, constant current driver is factory installed inside the junction box. The fixture comes connected to the driver by 12 long low voltage cable with waterproof connector in the middle. Depending on where you want the driver to be you have 2 options: To locate the driver next to the fixture simply run your line voltage wiring to the first junction box in your circuit and daisy chain to the junction boxes of the other fixtures, or install all of your drivers at one location and use low voltage extension cables to the fixtures - use only extensions provided by the manufacturer. Available jumper cables are 6 feet (1.8m) and 20 feet (6m).
