The Rely Model 5600 is a hardwired combination alarm that detects both smoke and carbon monoxide (CO). It is designed for single and multifamily residential use, as well as hospitality, and institutional applications as defined by NFPA 101. The 5600 complies with UL 217 9th Edition, UL 2034, NFPA 72/720, and CSFM requirements.
The Rely 5600 combination alarm has a ten year service life and is 120V AC powered with a replaceable 9 volt battery for backup power that ensures continuous power to the alarm during loss of power. The alarm utilizes a photoelectric sensor for detecting smoke and an electrochemical sensor to detect CO, and has a hush feature to silence nuisance alarms.
To alert occupants of a fire threat, the alarm features an 85dB sounder that provides temporal 3 (smoke) and temporal 4 (CO) alarm signals. The Model 5600 will interconnect with up to 12 other compatible Rely hardwired alarms and allows earlier warning since all of the interconnected units will alarm when one unit detects smoke or carbon monoxide.
