Options for LED recessed lighting fixtures, whether installing canless wafer light kits or retrofitting your current can lights, have grown rapidly. Canless wafer LED light kits can be used for remodel or new construction LED recessed ceiling downlight projects. LED retrofit downlights are installed utilizing your existing recessed can housing.
The Keystone Technologies 5/6 Inch KT-LED11RD-6C-9CSF-DIM-G a color and wattage selectable residential gimbal downlight. The recessed light kit can switch between five different color temperatures including: 2700K warm white, 3000K warm white, 3500K bright white, 4000K cool white and 5000K daylight with a CCT selection switch location at the top of the fixture. This LED downlight operates at 120 volt at a 11 watts and generates between 1,120-1,160 lumens respectively. With a CRI (color rendering index) of 90, this residential retrofit is dimmable and is suitable for wet locations.
The Aviva downlight is a family of LED retrofit trims designed to easily retrofit existing screw-in based recessed light fixtures in residential and light-duty commercial applications. All Aviva downlights simply screw into the ceiling socket of any existing can light—no need for a junction box—while offering improved aesthetics vs. screw-in lamps. If you are installing a retrofit, the quick-disconnect E26 base adaptor provides for easy installation; and if the ceiling is vaulted, Aviva is available as a gimbal unit, so you can set the angle you need.
